TERMS & CONDITIONS
Please read the following Terms & Conditions carefully as they serve as the contract between yourself and Byron Bay Coastal Transfers. On having your reservation confirmed, you have acknowledged reading, understanding, and agreeing to these conditions.
RESERVATIONS:
Byron Bay Coastal Transfers will not guarantee availability on any scheduled services unless an advanced booking and or payment has been made. Internet bookings will be accepted up to 2 hours prior to departure. Telephone bookings will be accepted up to 30 minutes prior to departure if payment is made at the time of booking. In the event that seats are available at the time of departure, passengers may purchase a ticket directly from the driver.
AMENDMENTS:
A booking can be changed up to 24 hours prior to your original booking departure time & is subject to seat availability. To change your booking please phone 0476 237 408.
CANCELLATION / ALTERATION FEES:
Value of Transfer (excluding booking fee) refundable up to 48 hours prior to departure. Between 24-48 hours notice - 50% cancellation fee. Within 24 hours - NON REFUNDABLE. Government Transport Point-to-Point fee of $1.00 per booking applies for each pick up & drop off. Credit card fee applies.
DEPARTURES:
Passengers are required to be at the departure point 5-10 minutes prior to scheduled departures.
LUGGAGE/BAGGAGE/SURFBOARDS:
Includes all items which accompany passengers whilst travelling, either on board or in the luggage trailer. Byron Bay Coastal Transfers accepts no liability for lost, stolen or damaged luggage/baggage/surfboards during transit or at pick up/drop off locations. There is no additional cost for luggage, baggage or surfboards except where items are considered excessive or beyond limits stated above.
Prior arrangements need to be made where a passenger has more than two items of luggage larger than standard suitcase size or standard backpack size (excluding carry on bags), more than one surfboard or if the surfboard is longer than 8 feet in length.
CONDUCT:
Passengers are required to conduct themselves in a manner acceptable to normal community standards. Aggressive or disorderly conduct displayed toward any other passengers or staff will not be tolerated and passengers may be refused entry or required to disembark at any time during transit.
Any costs incurred to the passenger/s as a result of refusal to board or removal during transit will be the sole responsibility of the offending passenger/s.
DRUGS and ALCOHOL:
Byron Bay Coastal Transfers reserves the right to refuse entry or require a passenger to disembark at any time during transit if the passenger/s appear, in the opinion of Byron Bay Coastal Transfers, to be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs. Any costs incurred to the passenger/s as a result of refusal to board or removal during transit will be the sole responsibility of the offending passenger/s. Consumption of alcohol and illegal drugs is not permitted on Byron Bay Coastal Transfers vehicles. Smoking is not permitted on Byron Bay Coastal Transfers vehicles.
PASSENGERS WITH DISABILITIES/SPECIAL NEEDS:
Passengers are required to advise Byron Bay Coastal Transfers of any special needs including assistance with boarding/disembarking. We will wherever possible try to accommodate passengers needs.
Any passenger that requires more than minimal assistance from the driver to board/disembark may be required to be accompanied by a carer. Any assistance from the driver is at the driver’s discretion to avoid injury to the driver.
Registered guide dogs are welcome to travel with their owner. Prior advice when booking is requested.
UNACCOMPANIED MINORS:
Internet bookings will not be accepted for unaccompanied minors. A legal guardian must be present when boarding and disembarking and relevant contact details for both guardians is required prior to departure.
In the event that a legal guardian is not present at time of disembarking and contact with the legal guardian cannot be made, the unaccompanied minor will be transported to the nearest police station for their own safety and security. Byron Bay Coastal Transfers will not accept responsibility for the care of an unaccompanied minor beyond disembarkation.
INFANTS:
Infant capsules and booster seats are available, however please advise Byron Bay Coastal Transfers when making your booking to check on availability.
CONDITIONS OF TRAVEL:
Passengers who have purchased a ticket must present a valid reservation number to the driver prior to boarding. Failure to present a reservation number may result in refusal to board. Passengers securing an available seat without a prior reservation will be required to pay the driver, in full, prior to boarding.
All goods carried by passengers, either in the luggage compartment or on board are at the passengers own risk. Byron Bay Coastal Transfers does not accept liability for goods lost, stolen or damaged either during transit or at drop off/pick up locations. Passengers warrant that any luggage or other personal effects either carried on board or in the luggage trailer will not cause, either directly or indirectly, any damage or harm to other passengers, other passengers effects or cause damage to the property of Byron Bay Coastal Transfers.
Byron Bay Coastal Transfers reserves the right to refuse to carry any luggage or other personal effects without justification.
Byron Bay Coastal Transfers will endeavour to honour its commitments relating to departure and arrival times but will not be liable in the event that times are unable to be met as a result of road, traffic, weather conditions or any other event that would reasonably cause a delay.
Byron Bay Coastal Transfers will not be liable for any losses incurred as a result of delayed departure or arrival times or for delays relating to road, traffic, weather conditions or any other event that would reasonably cause a delay.
Byron Bay Coastal Transfers reserves the right to vary schedules and prices without notice. Bookings made prior to any changes will be honoured and every endeavour will be made to notify passengers with valid bookings of changes to schedules.
Byron Bay Coastal Transfers may refuse to allow any passenger to board or travel on any service where in the opinion of Byron Bay Coastal Transfers that passenger is in breach of any of the terms and conditions listed.
